Biography: The painter Eleni Chalatova was born in 1954 in Tbilisi. In 1971 she started studying at the State Academy of Fine Arts, where she graduated with honors. She was the director of the Tbilisi Museum & was repeatedly awarded for all her work. Her every work reveals her explosive poetic mood, amidst expressionistic and impressionistic elements.
She has had exhibitions in Moscow, London, New York and Greece. Her works are in private and state collections. Gifted to generously distribute bright colors and emotions, describing landscapes and faces, as well as still lifes that are fragrant.
